Make Your Own Electricity

The fact is that your electricity bill is not going to go down over time - only up. Doesn't it make sense then to learn how to create your own electricity, to save money and even provide it to others (for a fee naturally ;))

Bill Anderson believes he has just the thing to help you in your quest to generate your own electricity, his self-written ebook Electricity- Make It, Don't Buy It. Now, I know some of my regular biodiesel fanatics are always interested in ways to save money and Bill has kindly asked me if I'll review the bok for your benefit, so here goes...

First off, this manual is BIG! I mean, it's 121 pages of pure information. Split into 4 sections (4 books for the price of one as Bill put it) the manual covers how to make your own electricity, a section on methane, free energy notes and a look into passive and active solar energy.

These extra chapters aren't just tacked on the end. It should be noted that the section on free energy contains a great method for making biodiesel and you'll also find out how to make your own methane.

But it's the section on making electricity we're interested in.

Luckily, Bill dones't disappoint and though his guide may be a bit "wordy" and I feel it could have been trimmed a little, at least he doesn't leave anything out in what would otherwise be a very complicated process.

He starts off by analysing what your needs are i.e. how much electricity do you need to generate and he gives you a basic calculation with which to work this out.

We are then taken through each stage of the process with extremely helpful saftey hints, background information and some clear diagrams which make the process a breeze to follow. All of the stuff about batteries, generators and wiring would have me in a muddle ordinarily but with this guide I really feel ready to tackle the task of making my own electricity. I was also impressed with the depth of knowledge and the tip about "phantom loads" which I'd never thought about before.

The book finishes with a look into the future and other ways of generating power and overall I have to say that this was a complete education for me. The value on offer here is just short of miraculous and anyone serious about learning how to make their own cost effective power needs to read this book.
